Thought it might be, but he'll still need to get rid of his O2 sensor once the Bazza is fitted won't he? Also I thought the sensor for the autotune would fit into the pipe where the O2 sensor lived.
Yes mate that my thinking replace 02 sensor with wide band one. I'm sure every thing should be in the kit he rents out tho.
The bazzaz z-afm (automapper) comes with a wideband o2 sensor which goes in your exhaust where the original comes from, you remove the original sensor and put an o2 eliminator plug in its place, these are about £10 on eBay if you don't get one when you rent it. The software is really easy to use, plug in usb click start, unplug usb and ride bike, bike can be powered on and off at any time. When your finished plug in usb, click stop then click retrieve data then click apply all. Unplug usb, bike mapped
I wish the uninformed would stop speculating about things they know little about. The a-afm comes complete with all you need to use. If it didnt have the sensor it would be useless. Also the new blade (08 on) does require an o2 sensor eliminator with any aftermarket fuel management system. Bazzaz is no different and this eliminator is supplied. The AFM is easier to use than the dynojet offering but very similar. If you look at the bazzaz Channel on Youtube that shows you everything you need to know anout all bazzaz systems. It suggests traget AFRs you may want to use.
or you could do your own research instead? i find it gives me that warm feeling all over knowing i found out the information myself rather expect others to give it to me.....
If I was going to buy one I would find out about it, I was trying to help with what little I know about it after being told off some one else
but it's posts like thjis that do nobody any favours. any post that starts "i might be wrong",isn't worth posting, until you know your right
Its frustration that brings the worst out in me. Thank god there are a few sensible people around who are prepared to stand up for common sense. I dont want to discourage people who genuinely dont know about something because once I didnt know shit about nothing but as Scooby rightly says do a bit of research and dont be listening to your mate down the pub because as sure as day follows night he is probably making it up as he goes along. NOW. Bazzaz have their own channel on youtube. Funny enough its called the Bazzaz channel. It shows you all about mapping. Tells you what a decent target AFR is. How changing the AFR affects the performance of the bike. Spend an hour or so and at the end of it you will know how simple it is to use. You can look up dynojet as well and see how simple they both are. Finally if someone is selling a car. Would you be shocked if you turned up and found it didnt have an engine. See I think I would. Thats whay when I sell a kit i dont sell half a kit. Its a bit like selling the car without an engine.
Ive watched the Bazzaz videos on YouTube and im still not 100% sure the self tune is something I can do myself. It looks very involved with the smoothing and blending functions, plus he doesnt say if the bike needs to be in gear or neutral when doing the throttle runs. Im not sure I would like to do this at home as my neighbours would not appreciatee having the bike on full throttle outside my house !! Is there anywhere in London/Essex that would map it for me?
You do it like that on a dyno, if your doing it yourself you just go out and ride the bike on the road/track. I tried to use all throttle positions through the revs on quiet roads, when I got back I just accepted what it said I should, I didn't do any blending. After a few rides now it says i dont really need to change aything. It is really simple to do
Oh ok. Ive found a place near me that will do a custom map on the dyno on it for me for £140+VAT. So im going to get it done by them.
