Harris Fuel Cap

    For sale I have a brand new black quick release Harris fuel cap to fit the 14/15 CBR1000RR fireblade, this was purchased in error( will not fit earlier blades) Looking for £60 delivered (PayPal preferred)

    Do you know if this will fit my 2011 CBR1000RR... If so, I'll take it :)

    Nope, won't fit, as said only for a 14/15 blade.

    Is the tank different, mounting holes different or something? I thought they were all the same through the years!

    Nope, 14/15 blade is different, have a look on the Harris web site.

    Maybe harris lying haha! Have you tryed fitting it, or line it up see if holes match etc? Though looking actually at a pic of 2015 bike... the rubber gasket part that goes around fuel cap looks abit thicker than on say 2008 model hmmmm

    It will not fit, I have been sent a new one which is the correct fitment.

    There are a lot of minor changes on the 2014/15 blade, as I've learned since I sold me 2011 and bought the 2015. Exhaust and suspension are the obvious, tank filler is another, tail tidy from 2011 doesn't fit either, foot pegs sit further back, bars are at a slightly different angle, I'm still discovering them..............

    Thanks for the offer, but as you can see I paid £90 for it & I think it is worth a bit more.
