Hello all, My name is Gaz, I'm from Brierley Hill (7-ish miles from Birmingham), and I'm the proud owner of a new Fireblade! I collected the bike from Kestrel Honda, Coventry on Tuesday and managed to squeeze a few miles in last night. WHAT A BIKE!!! I've upgraded from a 2013 CBR600RR and I thought that was a good bike! But I am amazed at how easy the 1000rr is to get along with! At the moment, the chassis seems very stiff. But it's all new suspension components so I'm guessing there will be a bedding in period while it settles itself down. I'll give it a few miles to settle down, and then adjust my sags, rebound and compression damping, and all will be well. I may have set the bar a bit high for myself with this bike because I was booked in for a Trackday on the 8th at Donington with No Limits, intending to be there on my 600rr. But this deal with the Blade came along and I just couldn't turn it down! So.. I've got until Monday to do around 600 miles and then take it in for it's first service... which is already booked. Just in case you wanted to see the bike (and my mug)...
Hi Gaz ,nice work tail tidy,seat cowl and exhaust straight out the showroom May i ask why kestrel and not Suttonmotorcyles (Bromsgrove) ? Enjoy your track day and dont worry track miles count to your 600mile running in . Gaz im local to you so ride outs are a possibility ( I frequent Quatt Cafe where even the pot washer has an Sp Blade).. Enjoy!

Didn't even know he had a Honda! I haven't been there in a while though. I been riding past on an afternoon this week trying to tot up some miles. A friend of mine, Andy Marchant, is sponsored by Kestrel racing motocross and he recommended I go see them when I said I was going for a new road bike. Couldn't fault the service. I've had 3 brand new bikes from there now including the Blade. I had my 600rr from there in 13. CRF450R in 14, and my Blade on Tuesday

The sp is the pot washers! Kestrel are really good I just use sutton because they are excellent and closer for me. Give me a shout im always up for a ride out.
