A chap I work with is friends with John Mcguinness sister. So after me having to explain to him what a legend he is (he's not a motorcycle man...) he's been in contact and he is going to sign my helmet for me. His sister will also send a picture of him doing so. I could have a bike part signed but for 1 it's a 6 hour trip each way and 2 the bikes on finance so will most probably be swapped for another one on 3 years. So I might send the helmet after a proper clean and then not use it and buy my mates corsiar that he's only used twice before packing up, or can you have lids lacquered? Guessing a no no. Helicopter tape? Might look a bit shite and remove the signature if removed at a later date. What ya reckon?

Can get venture shield specific for lids I'm sure. Will cover it and protect it nicely

Not sure about shutting them up but they will be more conspicuous than this kid..........

Don't think venture shield still sell the helmet kits and even then it was on a couple of arai lids and a couple of shoei lid models that were available.

Also as far as spraying lacquer on lids it should be possible as the folks that airbrush new designs onto race lids would need to apply a lacquer to protect the finish from sun rays and cleaners and such, not sure if airbrush paints are all acrylic based mind you.

I had my lid signed by Hutchy during the week of him winning the 5 TT's.
Have worn it a fair few times since, and the signature is still on it, not even faded or removed a little.
Have since hung that lid up, as I dropped it on the way back from this years TT.
