I believe to get the needed parts in germany would be quite expensive, so better to buy locally.

Following the guide in this thread you will end up with the module Jens is supplying attached to your own wiring which can be fitted and removed to the bike without any alterations to the bikes wiring. Plug and play device with Jens module being the heart of it.

@Cbrjay : To rebuild a plug n play loom to not cut the original wiring.

    Hi Mates,

at the end of october I may deliver a plug`n play loom or even the needed parts setting one up.
Just let me know if this would be interesting or not.

I personally think this is the trick that your missing!
Most people doubt their skill with wiring and electrics so the idea of it turning up ready and just plugging it in...Eureka!
I can't think of anyone that loves the one headlight look, it sucks and looks so much better with 2.

I'd definitely be interested, I hate the one headlight look, terrible design.

This entire thread and others on the same subject show just how f***in ridiculous the 'single headlight' issue is. (This is not a criticism of the thread or the module solution). What a pain in the ass it is to have to resort to these modules or wacky wiring solutions to get both headlights on.

I was going to go down the 'module' road myself but in the end I thought f*** it. I just adjusted both headlights to a lower position (5 minutes with a stubby pozi) so that I ride on full beam but don't blind anyone. I rarely ride at night but if I do it's still ok. Just adjust the lights downwards enough not to blind anyone and it's ok. For an MOT just readjust to original height. Simples!

Remember this 'single headlight' bollocks is not about two headlights blinding people, it's about, so I understand, bikes being mistaken at a distance for a car.

^^^^^^ Exactly, its a safety issue. If you're willing to sacrifice your safety just for aesthetics that you cant even see when on the Bike then thats up to you. I know I wouldnt. Ive done a bikesafe course with the met police, and they show a video of bike lights giving off that exact effect and it is scary how you misread the distance.
It is also why the new bikes have side lights in the mirrors as it makes a visual triangle that gives distance perception, but changing how that works is not something I would want to play with.
Also those pictures show 2 different colour lights, that would annoy me more than having 1 light only.

That's how I understand it, but the danger of being mistake for a car at distance will apply if you're on high beam also, even if the lights might be slightly different in intensity.

The easiest solution is to make all bikes 'single headlight' and save everybody a load of hassle.

@mikegml: yes, in the end it is a human mistake, no matter if 1 or 2 lights on or in different colour.

Did anyone has the length of the cable between the both sides?
