I have a datatool alarm on my bike. It's annoying the hell out of me sometimes as if I forget to turn it off before I turn the key, the alarm goes off and usually take 20-30 seconds or more until I can get it to stop. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be doing, I spend the 30 seoncds pushing the button, holding it, pressing it rapidly. It turns off eventually but not sure why.

Today it went off, I managed to turn it off, but when I turned the key it went off again, that happened 3 times. I left it for 5 mins and it was fine.

The beep is the same for arming and disarming which has cuased me to get it wrong in the past.

Does anyone know the correct procedure for turning it off?

So I just bought a tracker, getting it fitted soon. I already have a pretty good lock and getting an anchor put in.
You reckon strip it out? Is the HISS enough?

In the meantime, does anyone know how to disengage when it does go off?

I had to have a Thatcham cat 1 approved alarm to get insurance. Mine is a Meta 357T V2.1.

Not sure about modern Datatool alarms, but the Datatool S3 on my old bike had different beeps for arming/disarming (1 beep and 2 beeps) so not sure why yours sounds the same for both?? Which Datatool system is it you have?
