    Hi Folks,

Notwithstanding the distance what is the view in what bike show is the best. I normally go to the NEC but have read the London Excel being closer to the bike season, you get better deals from the merchandise on sale.

Would welcome comments from all on their opinion

    Hi Jim

Been on both shows for the last years and personally i think they are the same in terms of bargains. The nec is better as it is bigger so more to see. More manufacturers, more dealers, etc.
London is london so if you havent been it is worth the visit. Something to keep us happy both in November and February...

London is shit compared to Birmingham, ive been to the London show every year and each year it gets worse. The Birmingham show is bigger, more stalls, more constructors.
If it wasnt for the fact the excel is only 20 mins up the road to me I wouldnt go at all. But as its so close its worth it, if it was an hour or more away I seriously wouldn't bother

I'm off to the last day at the NEC in early December. Hoping to find a bargain deal on new helmet and intercom.

I have been very disappointed in Excel for the last few years and doubt if i will go again.
NEC has got to be the best bet, but with online companies offering gear at discount prices, makes you wonder if its worth travel, parking and admission fees to go to the shows to buy gear.

Be careful if your thinking about going on the last day, I've done this hoping for the best bargains only to find most have sold (the good stuff anyway)..

I find have found it very worthwhile visiting always beats the online price. What I mean here is, if for example you look at Helmet City website price £450, exhibition price £300, so definitely worth the visit just what show to go to is the choice as i have always visited the NEC

I have found that going last day isn't great for bargains. I also don't like some of the stalls starting to pack up and go early. So this year I'm going on next to the last day for a change.

Tbh most of the decent gear has gone by mid week and all that's left is either for midgets or giants

Not necessarily the best day for bargains but Tuesday is always a quiet one if you don't fancy a weekend bun fight. The 2 Saturdays are busiest.
