keep heat shield?

    Fitting arrow system to my 04 bike tomorrow, do I have to keep the under seat heat shield on or not?.

    Nope. My akra came with some reflective tape to put under there, would look awful if you left that huge heat shield on imo!

    That's what I was thinking, but I have no reflective tape with mine .
    Is a titanium system, so if anything like the one I had on my 675, end can doesn't get that hot, so should be ok...

    Akrapovic on my 06 and no heat shield. 49000 miles later and it's still fine.

    Hi Chris, did you fit your system without heat shield, also did you remove lower shield. I have left mine on and it sticks out ugly so would like to remove.

    Yeah I removed both.
    I'm going to put some reflective tap on the under tray though just for peace of mind

    Cheers mate, have you had any issues with lower shield removed as exhaust quite close to rear brake set up..

    Nope, but I've got a full system so no cat in the downpipes, so that area won't get as hot for me

    I've got full Micron system, no heat shielding whatsoever!!!! No issues either.
