Been flustrated for the past few weeks now.

The lack of street legal exhausts for my blade drives me crazy.

Some say some exhausts will fit both non abs and w/abs versions and some not.

I have found few arrow exhausts that may fit, but nothing in akrapovic or yoshimura or leo vince.

Yoshimura has 5000 exhaust types for my blade but ony 1 option is legal and is all stainless steel crap...don't want that

Akrapovic has ....what...only full systems (£1200) that are road legal ? Don't want to spend money on full system. ..just slip on

And titanium homologation slip ons are no longer available anywhere...just lol

Does anybody know of an ebay auction for akra/yosi/leo in eighter full carbon fibre or titanium & road legal ?

Currently the bike is so quiet that believe me or not but I can hear my chain more than exhaust....(chain is new and perfectly adjusted/lubbed)

Did not seem to find the thread about this, abs owners are vanishing quickly, lucky my abs is ok for now.

Exhaust may be new or used in vgc

    Thanks !

akra road legal pipes often appear for sale here and on eBay. Typically around £400 here in the UK. Also scorpion pipes are good road legal pipes with a fruity sound.

Have you tried the flapper mod for more sound? It doesn't sound like a sewing machine with it done, but it doesn't blow your head off either. I have done this and am more than happy to leave it just as it is as I can hear it, but it doesn't make me stand out like a sore thumb for every car with a blue light ;)

And you complain on me complaining :)

Most of them 3rd party road legal exhausts sound differently and much nicer than stock, plus, have removable baffle.

Flapper mod...hmmm....never heard of it, would prefer different exhaust....

... Scorpion exhausts are to cheap looking for my liking, I won't finish my cbr with that, they are good for putting on msx 125 and other 50cc mopeds.

I know what I'm gonna do, I will get arrow full carbon silencer, costs £420 new, road legal, removable baffle.

Just the supplier does not have photos of it, like really ?
I will have to buy not knowing like it really looks like...
Arrow website.....people from arrow are lazy enough not to post a reference photo too..........lazyyyyyynessss

If I was going to shell out that sort of dough, I'm sure I wouldn't care if it was road legal,or not

My race fits out the window then, lol

But you can see why they are cheaper, if he wants road legal and looks are the only thing he's bothered about then maybe

    I don't really understand this?

From the OP it is a better sound that he wants, and they sound good.

free and takes less than 5 mins. tutorials on youtube. you'd be surprised how different the bike sounds. i swore exhaust would be first thing to go, but now i can live with it. worst case scenario, takes 5 mins to put it back the way it was.

Personally I would have tried the flapper mod first, it makes a substantial difference to the note, particularly on low revs and cost nothing, zero, to do, and takes less than 5 minutes and just needs 4 screws undoing and doing back up, really simple yet very effective. Surely it would have been worth a shot before forking out £400 plus on a new can, I was in the same position and am glad I saved the money. People should not forget that the standard pipe has had many many thousands spent on R&D it matching it to that engine and tuning from factory. Many other pipes are going to cause some effect somewhere in the rev range, not all, but many. ;)

My arrow can is stamped not for road use but I got a little credit card sized thing saying that it's fine for road use so that'll do me!

Having been down the aftermarket exhaust, power commander, custom mapping route myself on my 2010 blade then ripping all out and putting the standard system back on... My advise would be...

Don't bother. Spend the cash on the suspension.
