Selling off some bits I'd picked up for a project. Have sold the Blade now so project won't be going ahead.

    Complete cylinder head. Everything there.

    £150

Adjustable Kent Cams in great condition

    £150

Full set HRC SBK valve springs. Both inlet and exhaust. Brand new and still in unopened bags.

    £250

    Or £500 for the lot.

Excuse my mechanical ignorance, but what would this do in real world terms?

in simple tems different cams give longer valve opening times,so giving more power (due to more fuel/air going into combustion chamber),but tends to be at the sacrifice of low end grunt, makes it's power higher up the rev range.

So the head is from an 06 from the pics so not the an RR4 / 5 head? Are the cams just adjustable for timing or are they ground to a different spec also? Also what's the improvement with the hrc springs? Questions questions :)

The head will (I've been told) bolt on a 04-05 engine. Yes they are different but they will swap.

Cams are fully adjustable and can be dialed in. In fact they need to dialed in to get the maximum benefit. Porting is also advised to gain maximum benefit.

HRC springs are stronger than OEM and so allow for an increase in RPM should you have a kit ECU or other way of raising the RPM limit.

My plan this winter was to port and polish the head. I know a guy who can do this relatively cheaply (£100) Skim the head by 0.5mm (£50) build the head up with the HRC springs and Kent cams. Fit to engine and then take it to a place next to Mallory Park (name escapes me atm) and get the cams dialed in. It will move the power slightly from low to high range but you do get a significant gain at the top. However I've sold the bike as a m8 was selling a bike I like and I just fancied a change after 2 years.
