After 2 1/2 years racing the R6, I decided that it was time for a change. Well, that and a possible move away to the Isle of Man, but that's another story. So, a month or so ago, the R6 went, having had some great racing on it including my first ever road race at the Southern 100 in July. I didn't want another R6 as I fancied a complete change and as such the obvious choice was a Kawasaki ZX6R, but these (like the R6) hold their money really well. A Triumph 675 would have been nice, but there are quite a few people who race them who experience engine issues and the running costs can be higher than the equivalent Japanese bikes. So, I wasked around, did some hunting on ebay and found a GSXR600 that had been run by a team I know and ridden at the Manx GP this year. It had all the toys with it, K-Tech fork kit, Ohlins TTS GP rear shock, Woolich ECU with pit limiter and launch control, spare wheels with wets, Bonamici rearsets, GPR steering damper and a few other bits. Basically it was ready to race and more importantly was set up for road racing. So, I did the deal and have ended up with a 2012 GSXR600. Just a shame the weather isn't up to much at the moment and it is going to be a long winter polishing it.
Tiz an ACE bito kit that Woolich Tech Robin. Have it on the ZX10 and the launch control is a mint once U get the confidence to just dump that clutch at 7K and trust the lectronix! Takes some mental persuasion that on a liter bike!

It is colourful indeed, I did toy with the idea of changing the scheme completely, but I then thought that it actually grew on me and the money could go on Daytona boots instead!
Yep, yellow it is. I had no idea what to change it for either, so it is probably easier to stick with this and cheaper too! I look at spending on things as "how many sets of tyres will this buy?". A respray would be 2 sets of tyres or some Daytona boots. Having said that, when I removed the graphics from the belly pan, it took half the paint away, so the belly pan is in need of a respray. Bugger!
Yeah a few people have said Corona colour scheme throwback. I would need a lot of stickers on the belly pan, as there is no paint on it any more!
