    I personally hate Wheels.

I was considering buying a Tuono 1100 or Honda CB1100ex from them but the Px they offered me on my Panigale 1199 was an insulate at best so I sold it elsewhere. The Honda salesman was nothing short of insulting and rude to me. I have no idea how they stay in business with that attitude. I went and purchased two Honda's from an other dealer. And whilst they are my closest Honda dealer they wont be getting my servicing or parts business. They can f*&K right off.

But, mate you binned their bike so you have to fork out as per what you signed up for....... end of......

Its bad, but as others say if the boot was on the other foot and their test rider dropped and damaged your bike I am sure you would expect them to replace all damaged parts.

You are lucky its limited to £1,000 and not the full cost of parts (upto list price of bike) - Only other thing I've heard of is people working with the dealer to buy the damaged bike at the lowest price dealer can let a demo bike go for, then no £1,000 excess to pay. But in your situation it was not a 'try before you buy' test but a loan so you don't need a second bike.

It also shows how easy it is to write a bike off / turn it into Cat C / D

Oh I just paid them straight up, managed to wreck a 15k bike so a grand isn't to bad. Just embarrassing.
They came and picked their bike up and dropped mine off at the same time and we're really good about the whole thing. My bike was polished and they filled the petrol up so can't complain was just an expensive day lol

I'd still ebay off the parts though to help with the repair cost. You did pay for them after all.

Yes, I'd have asked for all the replaced parts as.....
    A) It proves they were damaged and not just the Dealer taking the Piss after you'd given the Bike back and couldn't inspect it!

    B) You'd get some money back on Flebay against the Grand outlaid!

Definitely ask for the old parts. If you don't they may "forget" to replace them all and then bill the next person to drop it for them again. Not that there are companies out there like that but you did check the bike over first and have a record of any damage didn't you?

Whatever happens the dealer has their loaner fixed up and available for sale as a "mint" bike.

    Cynical? Me?

As if the dealer is going to give you the parts? And why should they... unfortunate as it is, their bike has been damaged! they might not put through insurance as i'm sure their premiums are crazy high... they might replace essentials and sell damaged bits to recover the cost / depreciation that's been caused by someone crashing their bike? End of the day they will do what they want - it's their bike....

they are £2,384 out of pocket plus labour and you think they will give you parts to help recover your cost????

Fair enough if you was paying for everything damaged... but its just excess that's being covered...

i might have missed it somewhere, but did you sign for the loan bike agreeing to the T&Cs? You should have taken plenty of pictures too. Just in case.
