Hi all, Andy from Hampshire, picking up my first blade (2008 in red) in 2 weeks time, and looking forward to it. Here to learn and to ask stupid questions (having searched first, of course). All weather rider (apart from cold, don't like the cold. Or hail.) with a couple of VFR800s. Proper ones, not VTECs. An suicidal London commuter.

Picked it up on Saturday. Spend the first 10 miles thinking I'd made a mistake. Then realised that I needed to be less restricted, and hang the fact that it was cold. So undergloves off, balaclava off, extra jacket off. Freezing, but the ride was so much better. 70 miles later, and I need to stop to warm up, but the last 10 miles home? I knew that I hadn't made the sane choice for a commuter, but I knew that I'd made the right choice. Or at least hadn't made the wrong one at least.
