Thank you for the welcome guys. Smiler, I love riding my 600, Dave's blade is a little too big for me, I can touch the floor with one foot which is fine, but the weight is very different. Made an album (woohoo) with some pics of mine it.
Sam loves her 600 too, although she can touch the ground we had extra material added to the soles of her boots, had a wee accident at the Toy run just before xmas stalling and dropping her bike at a junction, knocked her confidence a little, although we have all done it! luckily only doing a brake lever.... Pic of Sam and her 600
Lovely pic. I dropped mine and was devastated, something so stupid that knocks your confidence. I hated riding for a few times after mine, the Dave took me on the back and I was ok after that. Then I slipped and dropped her on wet leaves and snapped the mirror off, I was so angry I rode like a woman possessed for the ride home. Am back to my cautious self again now. Lol
Smiler, Sam's paint job is the bollocks mate. Sets the bike off a treat. But, I must admit, the yellow and black of your 'Blade is spot on.
Sam, Katie my youngest and I did the Reading Toy Run, St Bernardo's is local to us and do a brilliant job well worth supporting
Only went into the shop to get a fuel filter for her CBR400RR, the 09 600 has a more sculpted seat allowing Sam to touch the ground, Ltd edition model, walked out the shop having bought it Yep the bumble bee looks good
Had one of mine up for sale last month, had to call the bloke an hour before and tell him I had changed my mind.. funny thing is I had it on eBay for three months! God knows how many phone calls and -£45.00 later I change my mind....lol
Welcome Joe & Dave to the forum. Love both of your bikes, have a 600RR 05 myself but I just use it on trackdays now. Pic of my 600 before highsiding it; And now;
Thank you Barry. Yours is looking good. Wish I could touch the floor on my bike the way you can on yours, I can barely get tippy toes down together, but hey, I only need one foot for stopping! Lol
Dave lowered it when I first got it, but after a few months I asked for it to be put be back to stock height. I don't drop it when I stop (she says touching wood) I dropped it when I was u-turning and I slipped on the wet leaves, the other time was bloody pathetic, some 90 year old man didn't see me and instead of hitting both brakes to balance and stop I only hit the front brake, the bike dipped rather a lot and I dropped her - was devastated, but even more so when Dave, bless him had to ride back against traffic to come and help me pick it up.
You could always lower the seat height and wear stacked boots. When I drag raced my Z1000, I looked like Dave Hill off Slade, pushing it to the start line
