I was in my local bike place chewing the fat and he mentioned he had a low miles crank for an 08 which he would let go for £150.00 Thought I would post it up just in case anyone it in need of one.
you just use the code from the crank to work out what colour shells you need as per the chart in the service manual. When they did the crank recall on the 08-10 they did not change all the crank cases, just the cranks using the method above.
Hi blake, have you actually tried this? We have and after a short time the motor destroyed its mains even though they were all correct according to the letters and asociated colours
The bike shop I was at today have done several crank recalls as per Honda crank recall procedure. I have an engine being refreshed at the moment with a replacement crank going in.
If they are selling an 08 crank dont you suppose it may be a recall crank that they are getting rid off?
