600rr to 1000rr

    finally decided to upgrade from a 08 600rr to a 14 1000rr took it out for the first run of the year on Tuesday and the torque is night and day.

    Seems like there's lots of knowledgable people here so looking forward to picking there brains.

    And yeah nick will be taking my time getting to know it. something tells me this bike will throw you off a hell of a lot easier than the 600. :)

    They are very useable and pretty easy to ride briskly, but you do still have to show them some respect.
    I think the easiest way to put it is that your 600 will have been more forgiving if you make an error.

    I made the switch 3 years ago now and still the torque makes me grin every time I twist the throttle:D

    Cheers guys I'm enjoying the site already. Just wish the decent weather would hurry up so a can get a few miles on it. :) I did have one question though see the cat is it normal to have a drain hole on it. Sorry it's the wrong section I'm posting in.

    I would argue it the other way about.
    Blade is a lot smoother, more so the faster you go.
    The 600RR is like riding a bucking bronco, which can be more fun sometimes.
