So do you think your average speed on a blade (on a day to day basis) is quicker than if you were riding a CB500?

Simon, nice bike- If I was planning on another sports bike the R1 would be top of the list- Sounds absolutely amazing for one.

Agreeing with Kent was more around the context, I thought this was Simon's thread to show he's lush new bike not asking who thinks they have something better.

Is it a better bike than my blade, absolutely and that's had some serious cash thrown at it- Why have I thrown cash at the blade, because It puts a smile on my face.

Point is bikes are individual and I personally don't get the most enjoyment from the bike that cost me the most or has the "best spec"- I also take no notice of the press, but to others that actually own bikes, ride and live with them. That's why I wouldn't touch an Aprilia.

Agree it was Simon's thread about his new bike, something many others have done before without any issues.

Personally if I don't like a bike I tend not to to post saying so in threads like this. After all it is someone's new P&J so why would I feel the need to piss on their bonfire? Obviously with the new season approaching cabin fever has been too much for some and common decency has gone by the wayside.

Well I for one really enjoy reading about everyone's bikes and why they like them regardless of the make and cost. From new sport bikes to old crossers I like seeing them all on here. After all, a picture of a bike starts conversations which is the sole purpose of a forum is it not?

Pictures of people's bikes are always welcome, regardless of the make imo. Keen em coming folks and post them with pride :)

The new R1 is an amazing piece of kit mate enjoy. If I had the pennies....... One day.

If every one liked the same, had the same it would be a shit world.

Enjoy you're r1 Simon and ignore the negative comments.

I ride a 2015 s1000rr not the nicest looking of things, but I cant see that when I'm riding it. But to me best bike I've ridden but not to every ones taste

I've just skipped past most of the comments to get to the good bits. Lovely bike Si. Hope the dozy mare doesn't spoil your time on track.

For track use you need to get some Brembo calipers fitted. Std calipers can't cope with bikes performance

Well I wasn't to nice to her, lost my usual calm, sorry to say :( but how can someone be so bloody stupid as to what she did, she has agreed to pay up at least :)

From now on, once I have paid I will push bike out of way and then pay ;)

Beautiful bike - sorry about the bump. Some people need reminding they are pushing over 1000kg along the road.

Few years ago I had a guy reverse into me in a pub car park while I was sitting on the bike waiting for a mate to get ready. Pushed me and the bike over - I was hurt more than the bike (but you never feel it till an hour later do you?). Bike had a bent clutch lever which I never bothered chasing him for.

He had the nerve to ask me what the hell I thought I was doing! The two of us told him that I had been sitting there for over a minute waiting. He refused to believe it, said he was the pub landlord and that he'd review the CCTV. He must have had a bit of a wake up call when he watched it back and realised he'd just reversed straight into me!

Yeah sadly the world is full of drivers that have no idea what's around them :(
Cars with auto brakes and reversing senors seem to be a must for those damn people, it would seem ;)

Women drivers I'm afraid! Wouldn't happen if they contented themselves with homemaking as nature intended :D
