    Hi All
I have just joined today and i live in Folkestone Kent.
I took a 2004 Blade for a test ride today but it had a handling problem so i am not quite an owner yet :(

The dealer said he would change the tyres and have it serviced by next week end. March 18th but i am
not sure tyres will sort the problem. It was great in a straight line' plenty of power and very smooth
acceleration but on bends and roundabouts it was a constant battle with the steering wanting to do its
own thing. I put a small deposit on it so hopefully it will be ok next week.

Looking forward to visiting the forum often and hopefully join in some ride outs too.

    Steve

    Thanks for all the Welcome's

Yea i know how tyres can effect the ride but this is really severe and i had it before with a Kawasaki. Never did get to the
bottom of it because i got rid of it for a dirt bike in the end.

    Thanks for the comments everyone.

Thanks Nytol that should be a great ride out. When the summer gets here I'm sure we can manage that :)

Hi Slimwilly my mate who has an 02 Blade came with me and said exactly the same thing when he tried it. He did comment
on the front forks being really hard to compress as if there was a non standard oil in there or too much oil in them.

    Update:
The dealer eventually put tyres on the bike and as expected the bike handled slightly better but still
    not right.
Lost all faith in the dealer and got my deposit back.

Decided to go back to my usual ride which is er dare i say it Kawasaki. I pick up a 2010 ZX10R this
    Friday.

I really wanted to have a change this time as the majority of my bikes have been Kawasaki. I took my
mate with me who owns a Blade and he agreed that the Blade did not handle correctly and the dealers response
to sorting out the problem was not right as if they were hiding something.

Hope to stay on this forum as long as i can dodge the bullets lol

    Be Safe
