Some of you may be aware that from the 22nd of April, new powers came into force regarding the placing and usage of road signs.

Whilst some of the new rules are actualy quite sensible, there are one or two which I think are going to open up a whole can of worms, escpecially for example where it is no longer required to have repeater signs on restricted roads. I can see a lot of people being caught out by this one in particular.

It is going to be an interesting few couple of years ahead as decisions, convictions and accident liability cases are decided on the back of these new rules

The lack or Speed Limit repeaters aint so bad if you're driving a modern vehicle with the Sat Nav screen running permanently as this gives you a ready ref to the current limit at all times.

March them all to the top of the hill, and march them down again (at tax payers' expense).

Must be one of the few UK regulations you are allowed to change for yourselves !! [IMG]

Having attended a speed awareness course a few months ago, I can now tell the speed limit without the aid of signs! [emoji1]
    Aren't I a clever lad.

I think its more about the signs that make you aware of a new road layout that end up staying up for 3-4 years and never get taken down, they will now have a expiry date on the back so they can be removed.

Cant tell you how may signs i see that make me aware of a new roundabout or road layout that was completed about 5-6 years ago.

    im all for it :)
