New member and Clocked early bike/ abs

Hi everyone, just joined this great forum. Had a few blades in the past and just got a 2012 version and heading the the TT next week. Two things I want to discuss , 1 the c-abs issue as mine is fitted with it and I recently saw a 1992 blade for sale on eBay by S dealer in Sufolk and he was advertising it as 20,000 miles .He said he sold it the same day he advertised it, I'm looking for an early low mileage example so did some research and Reg no. K294TFJ had done 98,000 in 2009 so I'm trying to find out who bought it and if they realise it's been round the clock ?

Welcome mate, that's shocking if a dealer has done that,didn't think it was possible nowadays given that it's noted on all MOTS

Can you not contact local trading standards and give them the details,I'm sure they would be interested, do you have proof of the true mileage?

October 2005 was 98684 and 6020 the following year, possibly had a new set of clocks put in

Or did clocks reset to zero at 100k

 

The dealer may not know
