Found it on you tube. Good 13 mins watch. Hutchy bitching about Dunlop. Personally feel he has let himself down there a little. Be the better man and congratulate your rival on a great performance and deal with the other stuff behind the scenes. Comments like I don't know whether to come back next year are a bit rattle out the pram
I do not blame Hutchy for that. Competing can be emotional. And trying to get sensible comments from someone who has given their all and been beaten by their big rival is bound to cause friction - especially if there is some, even small, sense of grievance. Interesting Michael's reaction is a smile, recognises the handbags being drawn, rather than something hugely offensive ! Hopefully Michael is big enough to make his peace with Hutchy. Cannot afford loose cannons, with a sense of grievance, on the TT course.
Michael can sit there and be smug as a bug....... but he's had his misery moments more than most when it goes a little pear shaped...... I'm surprised at Hutchy, maybe showing his true colours perhaps ?? You have three of modern day road racings greatest riders on that table...... the younger ones should take a leaf out of McPints book..... rarely seen (if ever in public) of throwing a hissy fit when coming second ! or third ! Still cant beat handbag battles in public......makes for great viewing.
I think what rattled H was Dunlop playing were the small team card from a little shed when in fact he had the latest and greatest engine from BMW with technician on had from factory, FairPlay he rode the wheels off it
to be fair it was bubbling, but my 2pence worth. The scruiteneers have a job to do, if they find something then fair enough but other teams shouldnt point the finger accusing them of something when they have lost. Therefore MD racing are at fault MD had the latest engine, hutcy apparently not, thats Hutchys and Tyco's problem not Michael's. finally Hutchy quite openly preferred the stocker, in the interviews in the week he confirmed it on manx tt radio. I think he thought he could go quicker on the stocker and put the stocker engine thinking he would get the lap times required on it. it didnt work and he bit to Michael's taunts.
Have to agree with gixxerjim .H made his selection based on what he thought was the most suitable one. He thought the stocker was better suited. He obviously found out the hard way he could not match MD. MD rode brilliantly, he also had what is probably the best bike out there, the combination of the two just mean't the others could not match him.
