Well after lusting after one for ages I finally bit the bullet and picked up this very low mileage example. Pleased is an understatement. Only change I will make is a full Akrapovic exhaust system. Don't plan on using it too much as right or wrong having sunk a fair amount of cash into it I'm seeing it as an investment, hope you like.

Stunning bike and already a classic! Wise investment but would be sacrilege if you didn't ride it a bit

Intend to do approx 1000 miles a year, I thought use it 10 times do about 100 and keep the mileage low. It will be insured, tax'd and with an MOT should the opportunity arise.

Lovely. Personally I would leave it totally standard to give that classic factory fresh look

I couldn't wait to get rid of my SP1.
Awful bike, terrible suspension, terrible fuelling. I ordered it before they came out and got one of the first in GB. It would have gone within weeks but the stealer wanted the sp and two grand to part ex it for a new blade ( effectively losing four grand ).
I decided to spend the money improving the sp, Penske rear shock, Revolution racing gold kit for front end, full ti akropovic, pc2, Gilles rear sets, etc, etc. After all that it still only made the sp bearable. Wheelies everywhere and at all speeds when someone was on the back. Definitely not the bike to ride to Monza on ( which was bloody hard work).
Sorry if that bursts anybody's rose tinted bubble but that's way I found it.

Agree it's not an every day bike. But boy is it fun.

I got off mine every time smiling. Something that even the Blade never managed (not every time anyway).

Mine also had the suspension and fueling sorted with a hyperpro rear shock and Kyle linkage, with piston kit up front.

For a Sunday blast I couldn't walk past it and that was with 3 bikes in the garage at the time.
