Hi, welcome to the forum and enjoy your bike. Take your time getting used to it. They are a lot less forgiving than what you're used to, but on the other hand they're an easy litre bike to ride.
Think I've just got to get used to the power deliver . Keep looking down and thinking opps! Loving the bike and also the fact I can actually ride it round town without it being a snarling animal
Try using 3rd gear as a twist and go. It's not like your 600 where you need to get up and down the gearbox. 3rd gear gives you some engine braking, and saves you using your brakes as much.
