I agree. Think it's more a marketing ploy. GM has big market appeal and him on the new Honda should be good for road bike sales. I think big H are relying on McG to deliver any actual results.
Are we talking about the same Guy Martin? The one that's still the sixth quickest man around the TT circuit and has been on the podium 15 times? I think if things go right he has as much chance of winning as the rest of them. Unfortunately I can't be there this year but will be glued to channel 4 each night.
