That time of year, mce last year but no longer competitive and hear alot of stories about how bad they are to deal with should you need them.

''Decent" quote from bikesure, anyone had issues or complications?

    Cant stand insurance

Bikesure are good but very pedantic ... you need to prove fitting details (including date of fitting etc) of any immobilser ... they have numerous "get out" clauses but the price is good so it's a trade off

Think all insurance companies now do what they can to either get out of paying or give you as little as possible for your pride and joy if something happens! I know we all hate it but the cheapest quote isn't always best in the long run

Baron Von Grumble did a feature on bemoto a few months ago, he interviewed the MD (I think that's who he was) and they claim to be different from other bike insures , certainly going to get a quote at renewal time

I've used Principal insurance for the last two years, deal with a bloke called Mike Sinclair, a biker too.

Nice bloke and helpful, can actually talk to him and explain things, like why I have 6 points, have use of 4 other vehicles, gives quote of £451, said wasn't happy still and goes off n speaks to underwriters and comes back with £270.

Happy with that and as living in the south always dearer.

Worth giving a try for sure.

    Never claimed though.

Got it sorted. Half the price i paid last year buy still a big expence!

Guy i spoke to at bimoto was excellent, its refreshing speaking to people who understand their product and your needs. Unfortunately they couldnt get anywhere near my other quotes but i will definately try in a couple years when i turn 30 as apparently this is a milestone for bike insurance discount.

When I bought my 2015 Blade new I've always paid around £200 fully comp and that's with as many extras I can throw on the policy. I'm mid 40's and in the Midlands with full NC.

I'm 40 but use all my ncd on my motor trade policy, I could put the bike on that but they only pay out trade value so was trying to get agreed value
