Hey guys, as some of you know I had an off Oct 15 and haven't really done many miles on the old girl since, I got a Street Triple R and have mostly been use that for any commuting or short blasts! After the accident I had it collected by Perth Motorcycles and they serviced and done repairs which included valve clearances and I also got a HM quick shifter fitted! Anyhoo I took her to a bike meet last night and she feels gutless very little low down grunt! Can this happen after valve clearances are done or can a quick shifter fault cause anything like this? Normally I'll potter along 4th, 5th at low revs and she pick up quickly but I had to use mostly 2nd 3rd ever 1st at times!
Has anyone had similar? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers Trev

    Doesn't sound right mate.

A quick shifter fault would cut the bike out as it would go down to say 3 cylinders and then just cuts out. I had this issue with 1 I had just fitted. So doesn't seem to be that your experiencing.
Valve clearance wouldn't be the issue either.

Has your fuel pipe perhaps been squashed with the tank once refitted?

Cheers Colin it just hasn't felt right since I got her back from the garage does the quick shifter connect to the same parts as the PCV? If so maybe the PCV isn't been hooked up right! I donno, :( I'll have to have tinker with it mate!

Hi Colin it's a HM Plus SS but I've ordered spark plugs also gonna clean the air filter do an oil change and fill her up with fresh fuel to see if that makes any difference if it doesn't at least she'll have a freshen up! And I'll get her looked at!

The HM runs off the front coils in a piggy back system. It won't be the HM that's causing the fault then mate
