So I booked onto Mallory start of the year and thought I would be in a position to use my Daytona, alas it needs more work than I initially thought so I am going to be on my Blade.

It's the first time the blade will be used on track and the first time for me at Mallory.

Has anyone got any tips for making sure my shiny blade stays shiny apart from the obvious and taking it easy ?

So first track day on the blade went very well, the bike has so much more to give than I ever imagined. it's controlled refined but crack that throttle open and it turns into the missile.
Could not fault the bike, me on the other hand could not get my mind past the point at Gerards, the entry speed can be the same as I know my exit speed was but I just couldn't get my head around that fact.

The Diabilo III were amazing had a couple of slides out of edwiners but that's possibly due to my pushing on a little too much but i have to say they were awesome for road tyres being used on track

Glad you had a good day, Mallory is an interesting little track, and great if you want to get loads of laps in.
I went there a few years ago, I believe it's been resurfaced since then.

can't comment on the how it was but I was enjoying the grip levels. Some interesting little bums on some of the track that makes the front wheel lift if you aren't in the right place on the track.

The size makes it great for a learner track, and your confidence levels go up the more sessions you do.
