Morning all, I'm off to Luxembourg in a few weeks for 3 nights. I've found a few routes from Ride but wondered if anyone had any suggestions on good routes?
To be honest there isn't much to go at between Calais and Luxembourg. I went to Luxembourg City last week and just blasted down the E40 But once you are there you can head off into Germany, the B500 is a bit of a hike but you could go to Trier then up the Moselle Valley
E40/A16 from Calais pass Brugge and Brussels and keep going , but toll free and quickish roads, lots of Services for fuel and coffee stops
Thanks for the suggestions, Spa is definitely on the plan and will look into other places suggested. Cheers all
It would be interesting to hear how you get on - a few pictures. Never been to Luxembourg- been through Belgium and the Ardennes a few times - but never Luxembourg.
Don't feel you have to ! Don't want to spoil your trip or anything, thinking you have to take pictures. I will be going to Assen TT again next year and will pass through Belgium again - just thought if Luxembourg was nice, could pass that way instead.
Late post I know but went to Luxembourg for a long weekend in September. Fab trip and great routes. Ended up using the Ride Routes tour of Luxembourg which were spot on - https://www.ride.co.uk/routes-1/the-ride-guide-to-europe-second-edition. I adapted one of the days to include a trip to Spa too. Nice stopping off at Cambrai on the way for some food too. No photos though sadly other than a selfie with the DJ in a city bar! We stayed in the city and had a great time at night too - friendly locals and plenty of nightlife. Can highly recommend for a long weekend.
