Ive been using the rx7v this year. Really happy with it after a custom fitting session at motorcyle live show last winter.

I know someone that wears a chaser V. Not sure what the difference between that and the X is? He loves it anyways and would recommend one.

I found mine didnt fit as well out the box compared to the shoei i had previously. Custom fitting was free though and was fine tuned to how i like it (cheeks pushed right up) and always good to have a professional let you know that your lid is fitted to give you the best protection possible.

Arai RX-7V - Statement White for me.
Love it.Comes with a nice (removable) chin guard wotsit for the colder weather to keep the draughts at bay.

Been wearing a chaser V for the last 5 years or so. Great helmet, have had no issues whatsoever. In fact I'll probably replace it in the new year with either the Chaser X or even the Access as I prefer the paint schemes on these.

Shoei man myself. Arai don’t fit my bonce properly.

Anyone try Schuberth? Supposedly very light, comfortable and so quiet that you don’t even need earplugs.

I got a Chaser V last year and although it fits well its bloody noisy and the silly vents in the visor mean that when a pin lock is used its is in my field of vision and pisses me right off.

I think the main problem with noise on the Chaser and RX7GP is the sidepods, which cause a lot of turbulence.

Probably a bit late as you've already ordered, but the X-Lite Carbon 802RR is a great helmet for the cash. It's the lightest thing I've ever put on my head helmet wise.

On the new one they have made them smaller so must know about it and although I can't compare as not had the gp (got the new v) it's still noisy compared to my hjc 10+

For me it used to be Arai. But since I bought HJC RPHA 10 Plus on sale nearly 3 years ago I've been keeping an eye on new HJC helmets. I'm very much interested in new HJC RPHA 11.

Arai helmets are noisy... very noisy.

I also have the Arai Chaser V which was one on the few helmets I tried to fit my head shape.
Quite pleased with the Arai, Would have been perfect if it wasn’t noisy.

I tried to adjust the side pod visor mechanism to pull the visor slightly tighter to the seal, which did make a slight difference.

But as mentioned I also think is turbulence from the side pods, which to be honest does not bother me at all. Would I buy another Arai, Oh yes, Love the quality build and fit.
