I like Skoda, but they are a bit boring imo. A Discovery would be awesome, but they are top dollar.

Maybe i'll get a BMW. The 5-series is not bad

    Hi mate.

It’s the 2L 140 bhp. Never heard of any issues with the 140 worth noting.

1 Series - first gen 123d or 130i/135i. The 130i is sought after these days for the N/A engine

Big engines are so expensive here in Norway. The BMW 123d coupe is about 20 grand.

Thinking maybe 10 year old 520d (E60/E61) BMW. Could get them at a good deal.

Is indeed mate. Very nice driving car too.
The only thing that lets it down are the faux leather (plastic) seats.

That's almost shameful. I have always known BMW (both cars and bikes) to be synonymous with quality. It's a pity (but fact of life) that economics determine a final product rather than quality. I suspect though, that leather might have been an option, albeit an expensive one. But, all that does not detract from what a great car it must be to drive.

I had a 2008 123d a good few years ago. I thinking of a similar age, Still expensive?

It is leather but is a corrected-grain and is coated with a synthetic polymer paint and then surface embossed with an artificial grain.
The only plus side is that it’s very hard wearing.

There was a Merino leather option (for an extra £3000) which is much more supple but having heard the issues people were having with it I decided against it.

I've no longer got the remapped 530d M Sport in my avatar. Due to needing a vehicle more suitable to fishing and shooting I have a Skoda Octavia Scout which although slow in comparison to the BM is a good all round workhorse.

I drive my gf's 1.3L Mazda 2. It can only overtake people during a downhill, or if they're at a near standstill.
I know it's really slow, but I underestimate how slow from time to time.
Sometimes I or my gf catch me doing cheeky moves in the car and she's like WTF, and I'm like "oops, forgot this is not a bike"
Riding a bike makes me a little cheeky passing anyone who hesitates in traffic.

I'd probably get a pickup, doublecab, if I actually need a car. Big enough to carry something important, like my bike.

THAT is a great idea, Unity. So next time your girlfriend runs over your bike, you can put it straight in the back to take to repairer. You really are a very wise guy!!:D:D:D

Especially when it comes to cornering. Doesn't read like its had any suspension work done. Could get lairy with that turbo bolted to it.
