Hey, I noticed that the scam ads that are doing the rounds all over the Google Display Network has found their way onto the forum. I'm sure nobody here is daft enough to be taken in by it, but just in case... The ads look something like the attached text ad, but I've also seen them as image ads, and multiple different versions. They go to this page. As you can see here, it's all a scam where you could lose a lot of dosh. I work in Google advertising and these ads shouldn't have been approved by Google, but they have. I've reported it, probably along with hundreds of others, but different versions of the ads are obviously still being allowed to show. Perhaps the forum's webmaster will block the advertiser from their AdSense account.
Funny enough the MT forum was being redirected this morning to us-weeklymag.com which was an advert fro Dragons Den Bitcoin advert as soon as you opened the web page. Only way I could stop it doing it was to disable Javascript but every site these days needs Javascript!! I think the admin sorted it in the end, even though I never got a reply, but at least it stopped doing it! Was driving me nuts!
Gee, I hope the invitation to join Russian Brides dot com was not a scam. I just sold two bikes to raise 10 thousand quid to bring 'woman seeks love of her life in hunky British gent'. I'm not up with Bit Coins, so I raced down to Western Union and telexed my cash. No reply from 'Svetlana' yet, so I'm just waiting here drooling over her photo!
