Used Hilltop motorcycles for an ecu remap on my 2015 fireblade. Having done some research it’s a cheaper and more effective way to tune a modern bike than power commanders etc. Bike was running awful during my road and track riding prior to my visit. The guys found me an extra 20bhp and sorted out all my horrid fuelling issues. It’s a proper weapon of a bike now.

Started at 155 and finished at 175bhp.....

I found all the guys at Hilltop to be approachable, knowledgeable and they kept to my allotted time.

That's an astounding improvement. Sounds as if it must surely have been running like an old CB 350!

Yes I had got the bike with 700 miles on, and only done about another 700. It’s fuelling was horrid and I wasn’t enjoying it. The guys said it was running lean which is also dangerous for the engine. They wondered if someone had already messed with the ecu as the symptoms I had were of the timing having been messed with.

The difference is night and day.

I've been considering taking my 2017 over to see what they can do. I've heard good things about them and it's good to see positive feedback.

Yeah worth a call mate, I’ve not ridden a 2017 bike yet but would be interested to know what’s possible.

I was chuffed to bits with the results on mine with minimal mods.ive a hm quickshift and lowered the gearing slightly and she’s certainly got some poke.

I've just been recommended Hilltop by a mate and the reviews look excellent. Only down at Hinkley so going to book in for a remap :)

My RR4 is already booked in to RRP ( http://www.roadandraceperformance.co.uk/dyno.aspx ) for Monday coming.

The bike has a Power Commander 3 (from previous owner) so my local Honda dealer will not touch it:rolleyes:) The RR4 performs well but idles a bit spluttery, almost as if it's missing a beat here and there. (I thought about plugs, but all's fine in higher revs) My OCD nature will not allow me to 'just put up with it', so I have a 30-mile ride to the nearest Power Commander authorised centre.

Think I might get mine de-tuned to about 140. It's getting too much for me!:D

The company had a staffing dilemma, so I had to re-book for 4th of July. I hope to celebrate with fireworks when it's done.:)

Will update post on the day.

    @CBRGav

Results from remap & dyno yesterday at Hilltop.
2016 Blade with 2700k. Akra gp can not decat.
Gained 17bhp at rear wheel...151 up to 168 and torque up from 70 to 80!
They call it a remap but in fact it's this...and I quote....

    ECU Remapping
We call ourselves 'remappers' because that is the colloquial term that everyone understands, but actually we write engine management software. This is much more complex, time-consuming work but means we have several advantages over conventional remappers:

    1. We don't touch the original factory software, so there's no chance of us ruining your ECU. Our software goes onto unused space on the ECU and interacts with the original software as necessary (to allow functionality such as immobilisers, ABS braking, traction control etc.)

    2. We're not stuck with the legacy of anything the manufacturer creates that's less than ideal in functionality (some manufacturers' software is much better than others).

    3. Our software is self-learning, so you can change exhausts, air filters etc. without needing the ECU programmed again. This also means that the bike will perform optimally in all climates and at all altitudes.

    4. Our software is invisible and cannot be seen by your dealer or anyone else, so your warranty will not be affected.

Bike was already pretty smooth as you can see from pic but can't believe the difference it's made. Like folks have said before, the fuelling was very lean but it's sorted all that out. It's like a completely different bike. Worth every penny and more, especially as it's better for your engine.
Geoff the guy who owns it is a great character and so enjoyable and funny to talk to. No questions too stupid for him to answer and trust me I kept him busy with them :D
Me and another guy were there for 3hrs just enjoying the banter and watching him work on the bikes. He's the very epitome of how someone should run a business, as are the 2 lads who work with him.
I can't recommend him highly enough.

Damn good recommendation @Lozzy. I'm just a bit peeved that I'm too far away:(. As most members will agree, there is NOTHING better than using a business with good vibes!!

(PS. Still smile at your number plate. Here am I having paid heaps for 'specials' and you score that out-of-the-blue!)
