MOT warning ( tad noisy exhaust)

    Or buy new bikes every 3 years and don't worry about MOTs :eek:

    That’s the joke of it all...you can get a new bike, make all of these ‘illegal’ modifications and no one is any the wiser...yet the minute the bike is three years old and get’s tested suddenly it becomes a problem o_O

    there was talk of extending the MOT to 4 years

    Come to Ireland there’s no MOT (NCT) here. I understand that In accordance with an EU directive they scrapped the test here (but other EU countries can retain the test if they wanted to) as it was decided that the majority of bike accidents were caused by rider or car driver error and not due to faulty maintained bikes. The prospect of a noisy can is appealing to me now.

    Had mine MOT'd late May and had no advisories on my Taylormade (had one previous advisory for noisy exhaust 4 years ago at an Indian/Victory dealer, go figure).

    Tester doesn't bother turning the bike on to check noise levels. Spot on.

    Not heard a talormade in the flesh but I believe they're fairly quiet aren't they??

    They aren't the loudest, you are right. Still loud enough for one garage to give me an advisory (apparently!) :mad:

    The owner/mechanic knows the bike inside/out since he's done all my work :)
