I used to hold very 'traditional' views, probably because of my being raised in the age of all things non-liberal. Today though, I am more compassionate. If my cat wants to venture to the 'other side' all well and good. Who am I to judge how and where it wants to lick? I have no concerns who it commands with its mating calls for once it's curled up on my lap I bar up regardless!
Good on you mate for marshalling. I'm not sure what happened to your thread tho, I couldn't follow it re cats etc. Anyway, your application will be accepted as they are always looking for marshalls. We marshall at the same spot at Sarahs Cottage, and are actually using the cottage as our accommodation there next year. They will take people with little or no experience, nut will show you what they want and give you a specific role. If you are used to using the flags, radios and are IMC trained they may put you to another post rather than at the main marshal point. Have done a few different sectors over the years, but love it at Sarahs. Lovely folk there. You will also get a bag of 'goodies' (usually a gift tho not this year, still got the programme tho) and discount from the official merchandise too. And if you get in early enough can do the day course IMC training just beside the grandstand during practice week. Which reminds me, mine needs refreshed. Good luck.
