We are on our way to a week in Cornwall, staying at Tregony, near Truro. What’s is there to do? Either bike or non bike related. We are taking the dog so walks would be good. But all suggestions welcome. Ta.

Joking aside, ask the local delicatessen to give you a proper Ginsters pasty..... they are amazing. I know you like your good grub....

Eat pastie and literally cryogenically freeze yourself to sloth like existence....

    Or ride a blade.

    Same difference

Just came back from a weeks holiday there....We played football golf near St Austell which was good fun if you get a dry day. We were very lucky and had great weather. Went to the gardens at St Heligan which was OK.

There's a really nice walk round Padstow (just follow the dotted line in the picture below, it's about 6-7 miles if you start and finish in Padstow).

There's some good trips out to sea from Padstow, mackerel fishing if you fancy.

Padstow is pathetically expensive for a beer in some restaurants. I paid 5.75 for what I thought was going to be a pint of lager, when a can turned up from a poncey microbrewery I nearly fell off my chair.

Rick Stein actually owns a pub called the Cornish Arms 5 min drive from Padstow that does a very reasonable 3 course Sunday dinner for £23. Very nice.

There's karting at St evel and an owl sanctuary not far from there too.

Apart from that, it's cream teas, pubs and scenery.

Sorry, didn't explain that walk very well. You actually do it in a loop, you can walk back from Trevone to Padstow.

Camel trail from Padstow to Bodmin via Wadebridge, nice walk. Visit Damerells the local Honda/Suzuki stealer. If your riding the Atlantic highway is a good ride, open bits with some nice twisties, I go from Bodmin to Wadebridge pick up the AH and blast up to Bideford, sometimes stop in Stratton (Bude) for North Cornwall motorcycles, lots of older bikes for sale(nice to see some retro stuff and try to remember what being young felt like) some modern and a cafe. Real Cornish don't eat Ginsters for the record, go for local bakers to get the real deal (steak and stilton:) yum yum) If you have a cream tea do it the proper way, fights do break out!!! Oh and if you like your beer Sharp's brewery stuff is supposed to be good, I'm tea total so just going on what friend's drink. Oh one more thing the famous or infamous Trago Mill's. Oh yet another thing Poldark filming sites, everybody love's Poldark, don't they? Any way it's Cornwall you'll have a nice time. If you go to Wadebridge make sure you say Hi to any posties you see it might be me.
