this might be a stupid question but what model number is my 2016 blade if there is such a thing.
    I see people putting 1000rr8 or 1000rr6
is there model numbers or just years
    thanks

My old 2012 was an RRC, and I thought my old 2014 was an RRE so assumed 2016 was RRG. Am I wrong lozzy?

Yeah I agree it doesn't make sense as I think my 2011 was B, so yes you'd think 2016 was G but I'd seen it mentioned as F in other threads etc and the log book seems to confirm it...so don't really know why that is..

Just done a bit of Googling and there are 2016 RRG's mentioned but they appear to be USA models. The UK log books for 2016 blades definitely show them as RRF over here

So would my 2016 US model SP Repsol be an RRG?

Well I wondered that.... but it's one of those special Black Editions and they were introduced as a model in 2016?!?
Unless it was a way of getting rid of standing 2015 black bike stock :(

Has anyone on here got a 2016 UK model with the log book showing RRG?

I think so, unless it's like @1000rr73 has suggested a 15 but registered in 16! What do your reg docs say it is?

Done some digging and been told if you check your vehicle on gov vehicle tax site it shows year of manufacture.
So mine shows it as 2016 not 2015!
Yet my log book shows it as a RRF.

Just looked, it is a G! Produced late in '16. My bike was also the Honda display bike for the NY Motorcycle Show. I have met someone who had a picture of my bike on their phone that clearly showed the VIN plate from the NY show.

Just to add to the head scratching my 66 black was first registered 15 October 2016. Colour code sticker under the rear cowl says CBR1000RRG, the 10th digit of the chassis number is also a G and inside my warranty book it says G, but the model on the V5 says F?
