    Got a little confused today.
Decided to open the top of the engine and give the air filter a good vaccum.

There are 2 hoses on the left by the side stand one is radiator overflow & the other is labelled fuel tank breather hose (in the manual). Should it not be labelled fuel tank overflow hose? Had another read and there is a reference to a "fuel tank drain hose" wonder if it is the same as the top one but lost in translation:rolleyes:

On the other side towards the base of the tank there is a short hose with an elbow shape end you can see when you lift the tank; this is also labelled as breather hose:confused:. IT seems to slide around into place in that area when you lower the tank. Is this one supposed to be just sitting up in the air, hidden and not connected to anything?

anyone know come across this before??

    Hi mate

Which Blade do you have? on mine 08-11 there is a breather that goes through one of the holes at the side of the tank and a drain hose.

thanks pal this is exactly the pic for it. The short bent tube (bottoom left) labelled breather hose! Is it a short length with one end connected?

I thought maybe while pulling the tank up, I inadvertantly disconnected it; hence the question.

BTW there is quite a bit of plumbing in that area for the fuel line:confused:

That short breather hose under the RHS of the tank isn’t connected to anything, don’t worry. It’s the drain hose on the LHS that goes from under the tank (next to the fuel pump) and exits the bottom of the bike, between the engine cases. You need to work this up about 10-15cm before lifting the fuel tank otherwise it’ll snag and under the tank.

Try to leave as many hoses intact as possible under there! If you’re just cleaning the air box you shouldn’t need to disconnect any hoses if memory serves me right, just electrical connectors.

Here’s the drain hose, I was taking a photo just this weekend to check routing as I needed to get to the plugs!

When I first put it back I was weary of it being a disconnected fuel lin. So I held my breath and ran the engine to test. No fire & no petrol gishing out.

I find it so un-honda to have something like this. Normally they pay so much attention to little details like the whole in the bottom fairing to route the brather hose.

So I thought to follow it up in the forum to confirm the situation; thanks for the update & putting my mind at rest.:)
