I hope this means we are gonna get to see some classic Haga dog fighting, closer than close riding & sliding all the way to the apex :D

You guys are failing to understand that BSB isn't running to FIM regs in 2012. And yes the panic early has been homologated, just Ducati decided to run the 1198 in 2012 as all the resources for development are with mr Rossi

Yeah its going to be a good year with the new rules, I had forgot about all the changes that were talked about late last year. The loss of rider aids will level the field and let good riders with low budgets be seen front row and about time too, not sure about some of the other plans though.. Its only in wsb that the 1199 wil not be used as far as I know, Rapido are running the 1199 or they were last time I read posts from Wilf. I have always though it highly unfair that big money teams have bikes in bsb fully loaded with tonnes of electronic rider aids that cost 100s of thousands of pounds... There are a good number of puka riders that deserve and even playing field!

That make 50% of the choice for my Fantasy Road Race BSB team easier!

Will be exciting no doubt, but can't see it changeing the front runners. The best riders are the best riders and not one of them got to BSB by riding bikes with traction. Should be good. Can't se Ducati's doing that well without traction though, they use the most traction to tame their torque and without traction they could struggle getting the power to the tarmac. Would make sense bringing in riders with massive experience like Nori rather than young guys, for their geometry setup experience to make the bikes work with the limited electronics. I was looking forward to seeing Jessop ride an inline 4 superbike after his Ducati time but he's off to WSS.

I agree mate, defo the good riders are just that, very good.. all in all there are not that many riders in bsb so maybe the rule change will pave way for some new guns on the grid..

Peter Hickman will be worth a
Few quid at the bookies for a top 6... Fast as fook and
    Proven quick without rider aids.

Funny that this thread has come about. I text a mate last week at lunch, only for Niall McKenzie to come on Twitter later that day.
