B8EBB2CE-32F6-40D1-9A78-9398FADC0135.jpeg The other day I thought I would watch a dvd, first time in about 5 years. Unfortunately; the Sony dvd/ blue ray player had other ideas. Basically, I get a message “ no disc” even thou I have put one in. The happens with all types of dvds. Do I need to update the player from the Sony site.? And do you need a Ph.d in physics to do? The player has had very, very little use and is about 10 years old. Is this a common problem with these players? Thanks.

Brilliant. Will try a software fix first. Then as a last resort the machine will be operated on and those two little screw things will be turned to max.
