I use Wahl clippers, tried other bands but keep coming back to them. Currently running one of the older models with lithium batteries and just replaced the blades after 3 years.

Wahl is the brand at the top of my list currently.
I think cord free is the way to go as well....gives me the freedom to wander.

I have Wahl balding clippers too, they are corded. They are extremely close which means you get an extra few days before you need to shave it off again. Makes a big difference when you're having to do it once every 12 days instead of 9.

They are excellent but take some getting used to because they can dig in and pull at your hair a bit if your angle isn't perfect. If it's a super close cut you want I doubt these will be beaten. Overall I love them.

I've had wireless the last 2 sets and I won't go back to them again. Eventually the battery gets knackered and they don't last long enough. I even had a set fail on me completely half way through a hair cut. Ended up having to get the Gillette out to finish it off. If you must have cordless it might be an idea to get a set that will run whilst plugged in as a bit of backup.

I have a set of Wahl clippers but I don't use them on my head!

I still have the pleasure of a fortnightly visit to the Barber shop for the old skin fade and blow dry!;)

The clippers are for my beard and pubic region:D.....I take male grooming very seriously but like @Chris Hunter say's.........you've got to be careful near that bit that looks like a turkey's neck o_O

Allow me to give you tip number 8 from Nigel's Grooming Etiquette:

At a location approximately 1.5 centimetres either side of the aforementioned 'turkey's neck', inject 5 ml of Botox.

The effect is truly transforming and the smooth, shiny result is genuinely appreciated by one's partner, and, if you're so inclined, by the mirror also.;):D:D

When I sported a company mandated shaved head, we would get it done as often as possible. Wahl was the clipper of choice most everywhere. Though I no longer have to keep my hair short, I can't do long hair and still keep it close. I have a Wahl cordless as well.
