Hello I have a rr6, And during the winter months when it is parked up I loose most of the clutch I have to end up rebleeding it up at the start of spring and it's fine until I park it up again Anyone else had this problem if so what was the outcome Thanks Tony
It will have a leak somewhere. If air is getting back in after bleeding it, fluid will be going somewhere. Just a matter of finding where the leak is coming from.
. . . especially if the bike still has original rubber/neoprene hoses. There will probably be a small area of perishing, commonly at the join into the union joint.
Air can still get in without the fluid level dropping significantly. It's like injecting air into a person's blood vessel to kill them - the blood quantity remains the same.
Another point is this: Has the bike suffered any condensation? This could typically allow moisture to form in the master cylinder (in particular) and then obviously affect the grade of the hydralic fluid. After bleeding the fluid is fresh, so the problem will not recur until the following winter. However, if this be the case, you might note some deterioration in front brake performance also.
