    Hello,

Going to take off the stock original hoses on my '07 Blade and fit braided.

Is there any pitfalls to look out for or is it straightforward, should I buy a complete kit for convenience, recommended brands from lesser names or stick with the big names like Hel, Goodridge, Venhill ?

    Thanks

Go for the race setup, but beside that stick with a known brand and just take your time. @BikersDiscountStore will do you a good deal if you ring him at the shop.

You may need to plan for new P-clips to hold the new lines.
Also use it as an opportunity for a full brake fluid flush. Usual bleeding tips apply - Takes ages to start it off in new lines. Bleed at the master cylinder nipple once the callipers are bled. Cable tie the brake lever overnight to make sure any air goes back to the reservoir.

Should have mentioned that it can be quicker to get a syringe and fill up via the calipers rather than the master cylinder. Have a look at reverse bleeding on youtube.

    That's great, many thanks.

Is the race setup the two separate lines on the front instead of piggy back over the front fender? The rear will be standard?

Yes, separate hoses on the front.
