I was out today, and pulled in where i often get a coffee from, saw a bike there, first time i have seen one there, so i rode over to say hello. It was a clean looking 125 honda in repsol colours. I was chatting to the guy, he bought it new, done 10k on it in a couple of years. I noticed there were no L plates, so, as i assumed he only had a CBT with it being a 125, I asked if he had his full license, but prefered a 125. so he explained in detail that he hasnt ever had a CBT, or any license! He took the L plates off it a couple of years ago so he could take it on the M1 when he got lost somewhere! He did insist he was insured though, and had told them that he didnt have a CBT, i dont think thats gonna wash, somehow. so, someone else I know has a Fazer, and only took his test when the ANPR cameras came out, prior to that, he rode it with no license, tax, insurance, because 'everyone does' and ANPR put an end to that... so, here I am, thinking, am I the only one who has everything above board? Then I thought, im paying for this, through my insurance premiums, mr never had a claim in 12 years anyway, whinge over, im sure everyone here is taxed, licensed and insured etc, mods declared. I do like a good set of rules to follow
I wouldn’t expect a true answer on a public forum to that mate. But you could also look at it like if you haven’t declared all mods and changes then technically your not insured? Think your going to get a very mixed review on your question?
Many years ago in my youth I ventured beyond the bounds of the law. Wouldn't risk it now though, I'd be devastated if I were put off the road.
i bet everyone has a license though. I wasnt expecting a confession, because id assume everyone was legit. If its more common that i thought, im amazed! on the topic of mods, MCE told me that they cover any mod, but if they repair it, it goes back to factory condition.

Give BeMoto a ring, they cover all mods and replace like for like. Also came out cheapest for me with all mods declared, by a decent margin!
MCE were the only ones who would insure me for less than a grand, its £544 as it is. Hoping next year it will come down some more
Recently gone over to BeMoto, excellent service, all mods declared without premium increase, Titanium cover includes RAC breakdown cover plus other benefits, premium less than paying last year and policy with a well known insurance company.
You might have read that I recently changed over and couldn't be happier with prices and service. Great multi bike policy!!
If you had asked me I would of told you to p### off its none of your business I ride a 125 because I can
Here in the Channel Islands we have to display a small insurance certificate on our vehicles. No driving licence means no insurance disk. If you start to try and fake ways around this then you enter into the realms of fraud, which is a whole different ball game.
it wasnt like a quiz, we were chatting about bikes, he asked about my DAS, then i got this whole story about no license, CBT etc
I had a mate on an r1 with no licence! His brother in law used insure it for him so was on police check as insured, never got stopped in 5 years! Did his test in the end because his brother in law wanted another bike for himself.
