Isn't the point of these DNA paints to not be easily remove-able? And how good are they at being a deterrent? Doesn't the presence of such markings just encourage thieves to part out the bikes as quickly as possible?

Do you guys get insurance discounts in the UK for DNA marking?

And whats the process if you sell the bike? Does the DNA listing stay active and pass on to the next owner without any extra cost to them?
How about if you ever need/want to sell of specific parts?

Slight insurance discount and thieving bastards here tend to store the bikes for a couple weeks/months after nicking them to make sure they’ve not got trackers but also as most go abroad to Africa, Eastern Europe and Russia.

A blade/sports bike would probably be broken down but again, after a couple weeks so always a chance of recovery and if the plate has gone obvs a good way to identifying it.

As a deterrent? Yeah, probably not so much. I doubt a pro thief gives a sh!t.

Might be more useful to ID parts if recovered and then help police put intelligence together of when and from where bikes being taken from.
