I have fitted these levers and am not sure if I like them or not. One minute I do then the next I think they look a bit chavy. What do you all think?

Honest opinion is they're too 'goldy' for my personal liking. I think black is better on the hrc or if you want gold then the more subdued one that asv do like I had on my Repsol. But it's what you like at the end of the day :)

Hi Alan. Asking for others' opinions on a public forum opens you up to a barrage of criticism.

Make your bike yours by the way YOU like it, not by what others think.

    Incidentally, I friggin' hate them.;)

At least they'll be snapped up quickly by Mr O'Reilly in his flatback if he leaves them at the end of his drive :)

    Its a no from me.

Levers have to be black, mostly black or a slightly different shade of black.

Those gold ASV ones just about pass as they are the same shade as the forks.

If you're into 27 different shades of gold, go and check out the Gen2 RSV/Tuono Factory. Wheels, forks, frame, sub-frame, engine covers, top yoke, every one a different gold.

It’s what you like that matters, but I prefer black levers even if it’s got a hint of red.

    +1 with lozzy
black looks much better but how does the finish it stand up to wear & tear, scratching?

silver, natural finish would be the safest as you have already seen it.

BTW how do shorties affect the clutch & brake operation. Do you need more effort / strength?

My black TST levers have been on the bike for almost 3 years, through numerous track days and constant street riding, all while being used with aggressive gloves (stingray palms and fingers over kangaroo leather). Not a single scratch. The adjustability of the shorty levers allow for an easier pull though they require some testing to find the perfect spot for the rider.

As a caveat, you get what you pay for. TST is a small company here in the US that makes their items in-house and they are top quality. I imagine a Chinese lever may not hold up as well or inspire as much confidence.

Blacks absolutely fine...but tbh I don't care if parts like that get worn marks on...that's the point of them ;)
Shorties are fine but in the past I have put a long clutch on with short brake when I was doing high mileage and also commuting. But shorties on both bikes now and no issues and that's with about 9k a year now :)
If you fingers like the forum Shrek @Selmer50mark you may wish to go for standard length lol :D
