Please help, so i have a 1000rr fitted to my autograss car,was told it was a 2006 motor but did the 06 have silver crank cases? Any way my 3rd ever race with this car it started loosing power on the beginning of the 2nd lap then soon after i could hear it knocking so shut it off instantly, only ran it again for the short video clip, any ideas before i pull it apart or source another motor? Here is the youtube link to the video,

I am not sure there either, but whether for bike or car, I'd rather have a 2007 motor with a new loom than a 2004 motor with the old one. (Just my opinion of course, and I understand cost would be a factor in all this);)

Autograss? Sounds like a very nice lawnmower. So I did some research. This looks loads of fun! What class do you run in?

Im in class 8, the 1000rr engine isnt a very desirable engine in these cars ive come to find out, every other car is running gen 2 hayabusa motors but my budget doesn't stretch that far:( i was happy with how it was speed and power wise before the engine let go so im just going replace what ive got, im collecting a rr4 rr5 engine tomorrow for £800 so hopefully this one holds out:)

Does not look good but at least if you keep stripping the part at fault should shout out. at times it is harder finding a fault that has no damage and just a rattle

Can't help with identifying the piece marked 'A', but what else is going on in that motor?

Oil looks crap, almost as if there's water seepage via a gasket or seal?
