I would give it a few wks and when the season comes to a end there will be some bargains to be had the type of was 600 odd quid now 350 etc means you will get a higher spec for £££

Having now had a helmet with internal drop down sun visor (Shark Vision R S2) I can’t see me going for a new lid that doesn't have one

+1 for the Xlite carbon. I have an older one and it is the first lid where I bothered to replace the pads instead of the whole lid. Great bit of kit.

Looking good and thanks Lozzy for the link.
One question on the X Lite are they a noisey helmet? I do wear ear plugs but do like a quiet lid to start with .

    XLite carbon

My fave lid ever, no noiser than any other but light in a head wind and top quality

    Fit similar to Shoei

I've just asked and she says it's very quiet with good padding...she doesn't wear ear plugs either. She's had most brands too.
Helmets bit subjective though as think it depends how it fits your head etc. Some folks have mentioned finding certain brands quiet but I found them noisy.
I tried xlite on and thought it was lovely and if I hadn't got the X spirit I'd have gone for the xlite

If you find the RPHA 10+ comfortable the X-lite might be the wrong shape for you. I have a number of HJC lids and I found the X-lite 803rr to be much too tight around the ears even though it was supposedly a slightly bigger size. The HJC lids fit tight all the way round but there is an even pressure, not overtight in any one spot.

IMHO there's just no substitute for trying helmets on. Fair enough we can give suggestions but if your head's not the right shape for a given lid then you're not going to like it.

I've never had a truly comfortable helmet since I got rid of my Arai Viper GT. Closest I could get is my current Shoei NXR but even that's a bit of a compromise.

If I was buying a new lid I'd do what I did last time and drive down to Sportsbikeshop and just start trying them on.

I’ve had hjc 10+ and using both an arai rx7v and the x-lite 803rr carbon.
The hjc I found best for less noise then the x-lite and rx7.
Th x-lite is worth every penny for me for just how light it is and the vision while wearing it.
I’m also a medium in all 3 brands 57-58 and they all fit snug to start with which is how a lid should be.

Thanks all, decided to go for the X lite carbon but trying on first before final purchase.
