I have a 2005 1000rr race bike ,it has rear sets on ( not sure of brand but can check) .Are gear levers available in different lever lengths, I,m 6ft 3 with size 11 feet and I find it a struggle getting my foot in a comfortable position to change gear because the lever of the rear sets is so short. I,m more used to racing Supermoto so this new racing position is difficult anyway so anything that will make it easier is a step forward.
    Cheers
    Daz.

Little bit different to super moto;)
Not sure what you are getting at but the gear link rod does adjust giving you different positions. I always alter mine makes such a difference

I understand it's a different 'length' of lever you require. I haven't seen other than the 'universally standard' length in my travels. I'd be inclined to buy a cheapy off eBay and take to to an engineer who could cut of the spline and weld a new 'lever' to it in your required length. Probably the quickest and best option!

Not a position issue , its the reach between footpeg and gear lever tip are to close together for my size of feet, just to awkward .

The way you said you bike has rear sets on I took it they were adjustable so that would sort your problem surely;)

Half right, Bazz. Most rearsets are adjustable as to the placement of footpeg, but the size/relationship of the gear lever itself is always fixed and non-adjustable to the position of the footpeg.

There is only one that I know of that has a 2-way adjustment on the lever itself, but the prob here for Darren is that the lever itself is probably not available as an individual part: http://www.arp-racingparts.com/en/e-shop-2/honda/rear set_cbr1000rr-2017/431-stupackovy-set-honda-cbr1000rr-2017-reverzni-razeni

I have size 13 feet and with my Gilles rearsets, have zero issues. I also had zero issues on stock rearsets.

The Gilles adjust well to accommodate such issues. I'm ok with oem but when I got the other bike with the Gilles the previous keeper must have had tiny feet it was really cramped space on the gear side. I'm a 9 but got 10 boots ...anyhow adjusted them and great now.

I think it's worse because I,ve raced Supermoto for years and the whole superbike racing position is alien to me plus the countless knee injuries dont help. I may look to get what I ha e on there modified
