    No it is for a ZZR1400 performance sport and a CBR1000rr SP2 2019 !

    Neither have alarms or trackers.

The ZZR is dearer than the SP2.

Reason insurance went up £40 was due to the SP2 value was £22500 where as the 1299s was £15000

Full NCD, 53, 3 bonus points

MCE was over £1k for both bikes.

I've got full no claims on the SP2, but had to start from scratch on the ZZR, have 3 years now.

But what gets me is I know mates who have recently taken there direct access and bought 1000cc bikes and are paying less than £200 FC, and then other with full no claims charge more for similar bikes, just don't get how they work it out.

My SP2 was £579.81 for its first year from March 2018. Some companies wouldn't even insure it because of its value.

This year, after switching to BeMoto, it costs me 389.00. I am disadvantaged by having no transferable NCB so the SP2 had to start from scratch:(.

I Pay £76.38 for the RR4 and £69.66 for the 954 - both with BeMoto. I share a private island with @Jez .:)

I'd stick with being guided by forum members' experiences. I think between us all we represent a cross-section of ages, riding experiences, and range of bikes. BeMoto stands out from the crop, and, I suggest, Bennetts runs second. I have used Bennetts and had no probs, although some have reported that they're expensive.

I still believe that quotations are like airline fares: they vary from hour to hour and by the representative/website to whom you speak.

Same here with my SP even though it's second hand and the value less than other bikes I've had...seems the letters SP sets the No buzzers off or they quote ridiculous sums. It's v frustrating when you're a mature long licence holder and ive only made 2 claims bike/car in over 30yrs. Both non fault.
Bemoto certainly seem to be a really good one for multi bike..no one else could match them for me this time around.

Totally agree. I'd seriously considered insuring mine as an 'ordinary' 2018, but wondered what sort of crap I'd be in if there were a need for a claim. I am dead sure they'd reject a claim on the basis of non-disclosure of full particulars.

From an insurers perspective though, the bike should be seen as a lesser risk. The SP is not more powerful, but is arguable safer with its Brembos and Ohlins. The risk of theft is arguably no higher for an SP than the base bikes. (Different matter with the VTR SPs)

I am just hoping once you get to a certain age the insurance does not start to go up to much :(

I would love everyone on here to have five minutes riding it,
It would frighten the living daylights out of you but make you grin from ear to ear:p
