I bet he’s not happy, but he’ll be relieved he won’t be having to find a chunk to pay for it. It’s crazy that courtesy bikes aren’t a standard thing - mind you getting a courtesy car is getting more difficult these days

Very last of the old model he had the one before for 6 yrs with no issue so I guess luck of the draw...,still waiting for a reply from Germany....on a brighter note took mine in for yearly service this morning 3.7k miles all good running very well changed filter as not part of that service but I would not put in fresh oil and not change filter so all done and no charge for it...great service at Cresent Honda Southampton so hoping to squeeze a few more mikes out of tyres so it can have fresh next Feb....I have worn the front quicker than the rear...

Only a sad day if you’re truly disappointed to cancel it. We all look for slightly different things in a bike I guess. I’m still excited about getting mine but that’s because I loved the last generation 675R. My blade will be faster and probably better built but I remember the 675R being nimble, comfortable (as a sportsbike can be), and above all bloody good fun to ride..

Hope you find another bike to dream about - maybe a new CBR600RR if Honda revive it.

I don’t need to dream I have the sp2 this bike is insane and that’s from someone has owned 2013/2015/2016 675R as you said awesome bike but this sp2 is on par but with warp speed that imo the Daytona doesn’t have

Next year, Gary, in about June, after @Ice Doc and I have posted up a few pics of OUR Daytona's, you'll be chastising yourself with: I nearly had one of those.:( I am not sure we will be able to provide much consolation.;);)[/QUOTE]

I won’t need consoling I will just shut the shed door and look at my sp2/sp1/765 rs/ urban tiger/954/ 04 fireblade ha ha and if I really feel like I need a Daytona I will pick one up for about 12k later in the year :)

I think it's a great idea by Triiumph to market the use of the engines in Moto 2 but they have really let the style and look of the bike down....it needed to look more like a Moto 2 or like the ones in British super sport ....the paint scheme looks already dated and looks like a bike from the 90s......

Thanks N I must admit I have not seen one in the flesh so quite often can be better as for the R1m totally gone off that idea one is online only I would want a go on one secoundly not a leap on from the last model it was rhe Carbon bodywork that was drawing me in and the sound of it....going to wait to see what HRC offer if not I will just keep the sp for now under warrenty until July so properly won't change until after then let all the 1st batch come out and then if any issues hopefully would be sorted by then......

Having seen it in brilliant sunshine at Silverstone, sat on it and revved it, I’d say the pictures and videos definitely don’t do it justice. The only let down for me is the front, but even my wife said it “looked the business in the flesh” with the carbon fibre bodywork and paint scheme looking very special. If I had another £15-20K to spend and didn’t mind waiting 3 years I’d buy a Norton V4RR. Other than that, I haven’t seen anything I’d rather have sports-bike-wise (in addition to my silky smooth blade).

This is what I was told buy a chap at Krazy Horse around a month ago. Apparently Paul Hollywood jumped the queue and has his already.. What about a Norton Superlight instead, only (!) £20K starting price..

What VFR did you have Gary? I've just bought a 1998 VFR for dirt cheap as a work hack. Loving it at the minute taking it apart for a clean and refresh. They're so well screwed together.

Ah yours was the VTEC underseat exhaust model. Mine is the last of the gear driven cams I believe. Can't say I've noticed much rust, mine has full stainless downpipes though. I only paid £1250 for mine, such a bargain.
